The chips fly during Father's Day weekend during this exciting 49th annual event at the Lions Club Arena in Encampment.  Loggers come from all over the country to compete for the title of Rocky Mountain Champion Lumberjack.  Using power saws, axes and hand saws, the men and women competitors cut down "trees", chop logs, and saw squared wood blocks in half, racing the clock for the fastest time.  Cowboys ride bulls and broncs and the melodrama encourages the audience to get involved.  This unique Wyoming event assures a good time will be had by all.

• Grand Encampment Opera Company presents an old-fashioned melodrama.  All performances begin at 7 pm  at the historic Opera House (Town Hall) 622 Rankin, Encampment.  Admission is by donation at the door.

Saturday

• Parade on Saturday   - Starts in Encampment and travels to Riverside

  Point Events include:  Tree Felling; Two-man Handsaw Tree Felling; Two-man handsaw; two-woman handsaw; Power saw log bucking; One-man handsaw; Man & Woman handsaw team; Choker setting; Axe Chopping; Pole Throw; Axe Throw; Power saw Log Bucking. 
  Non-point events include: Power saw log bucking; Mad loggers chainsaw throw; medium class modified chainsaw.
   

• Admission Fee - $7.00 per day (includes Woodchoppers Events and Rodeo), children under 12 free

• Barbeque lunch will be served by the Encampment Riverside Lions Club - $6.00 per person

• Wyoming Rodeo Association sanctioned Rodeo - Lions Club Arena in Encampment - Events include:  Men's Team Roping, Women's Team Roping, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding
