The chips fly during Father's Day weekend during this exciting 52nd annual event
at the Lions Club Arena in Encampment. Loggers come from all over the country to
compete for the title of Rocky Mountain Champion Lumberjack. Using power
saws, axes and hand saws, the men and women competitors cut down "trees", chop
logs, and saw squared wood blocks in half, racing the clock for the fastest
time. Cowboys ride bulls and broncs. This unique Wyoming event assures a good time
will be had by all. Sponsored by Encampment-Riverside Lions Club.
All proceeds used for civic projects.
All events admission $7 per day, children under 12 free.
No coolers allowed.
*Parade Saturday at 9 am. Starts in
Encampment and proceeds through Riverside.
*Wood chopping events
begin 10 am Saturday and 9 am Sunday.
*Barbeque lunch served all afternoon both days
beginning at 11:30 am (separate charge).
*WRA Rodeo begins Saturday and Sunday 1:30 pm.
