Held every Presidents Day
Weekend, the 32nd annual Chariot Races are among the most exciting events in
Saratoga. It is a joint event sponsored by the Saratoga Lions Club and the
Chamber of Commerce. The races feature two-horse teams pulling chariots at
top speed down a quarter-mile track. The weekend's activities
include Calcutta betting and a banquet. Races are held on
Saturday and Sunday at Buck Springs Rodeo Arena. Get ready for hooves and hearts to pound! Please call

Upper Platte Valley Search and Rescue/Ben Romios Memorial Poker Run
Poker run fun is here for this event held annually on
the Sunday of Presidents Day weekend! Registration 9 am-12 noon at the
upper snowmobile parking lot on Hwy 70 past Encampment. Participants
can ride snow machines on the groomed snow machine trails or ski or snowshoe
a course on the ski trails. You can also just drive up to the lot and
buy a poker hand in support of the event. A barbeque will be held, and
the price is included in the purchase of the poker hand at $10 each. A
number of door prizes will be awarded to those that attend. Proceeds
to benefit the Upper Platte Valley Search and Rescue and the Ben Romios

event, the chips fly during Father's Day weekend in Encampment as loggers
come from all over the country to compete for the title of Rocky Mountain
Champion Lumberjack. Using power saws, axes and hand saws, men and women
competitors cut down “trees”, chop logs and saw squared wood blocks in half,
racing the clock for the fastest time. Cowboys ride bulls and broncs. This unique Wyoming
